MP Keddy Will Not Seek Re-Election In 2015
The MP for South Shore - St. Margaret's is calling it a career. Gerald Keddy has decided not to run for re-election in 2015. He was first elected in 1997 and has held several portfolios including parliamentary secretary for the minister of international trade and the Atlantic Gateway. Keddy says he's pleased to have helped provide funding over the years for Queens Place in Liverpool, the Lunenburg County Lifestyle Centre, Ross Farm's Learning Centre in New Ross and the Black Loyalist Heritage Centre in Birchtown. Keddy says it wasn't an easy decision but the time is right for him to move on. He says he will continue to serve constituents until his term runs out in October 2015.
