A new golf course in Lunenburg County is expected to be ready next spring. The Municipality of Chester recently held a public hearing and have agreed to make zoning changes to allow for the construction of the Aspotogan Ridge Golf Course in Mill Cove. There was concern from the public about waterways being polluted during construction. However, Warden Allen Webber says they're taking precautions to make sure that doesn't happen including creating a monitoring committee and completing water quality tests over the next few years. He says it's good to see the project moving ahead.
The project's website says the four-and-a-half star golf course will be 18 holes and designed by Atlantic Canadian architect Robert LeBlanc. There are three phases to the project which includes a number of housing units. For more details, head here .
