Mustangs Relieve Johnston From Coaching Duties

The owner of the South Shore Mustangs says it was time for a change in direction. Lionel Haughn confirmed Sunday, the major midget hockey club has relived Head Coach Grant Johnston of his duties. Haughn feels the team has under-achieved so far this season. The Mustangs lost their fourth game in a row Saturday night, falling to 5-7 and fifth place in the major midget standings. Haughn says the team is currently looking for a new coach to replace Johnston.

Couple Injured After Break-In In Beach Meadows

Queens RCMP are looking for two suspects after a break-in in Beach Meadows. Police say two people wearing masks broke into a home on Brooklyn Shore Road around 1:50 Sunday morning. A man and woman were assaulted while they were in bed and suffered non life-threatening injuries. RCMP are asking anyone with information to contact the Queens County detachment.
