White Point Names New General Manager

The owners of White Point Beach Resort have found their new general manager. Robert and Alicia Risley have named Joanne Veinotte to the position. The couple announced their decision in front of all staff during the resort's annual meeting on Monday. Veinotte replaces Danny Morton, who decided in April to vacate the position after 30 years on the job. She has spent nine years as the resort's controller with a background in finance and human resources. Veinotte is also a director with the South Queens Chamber of Commerce and co-chair of the Queens County Revitalization Committee.
