Bridgewater's newest family doctor says her practice will take in 250 patients starting this morning. Dr. Kerry Parker along with a nurse practitioner will begin receiving new patients today by phone or by people walking into her family practice in the Medical Arts Building at 42 Glen Allan Drive, Suite 308. Parker considers 250 people to be a small first intake. But, she says she wants to ease into the new role.Parker says she chose to bring her practice to Bridgewater because it provided the best option for lifestyle priorities and progressive models of primary health care. She says she is limiting today's intake to people who don't have a local health-care provider and live in the Lunenburg County area. Parker hopes the practice can serve up to 1,000 people through its first year. She will begin her first intake of new patients at 9am this morning.
