Lunenburg Schooner Involved In Heroic Rescue

It's been a heroic maiden voyage for the Martha Seabury. Crew on the Lunenburg schooner is to thank for saving three men's lives during its trip to the Newport International Boat Show. The Seabury left Gloucester, Massachusetts on Monday when they encountered three men in distress after there boat overturned. Schooner Captain, Paul Bracken, says crew members made the rescue just before dark.

Bracken says the U.S. Coast Guard was called-in and transferred the men to hospital to get checked out. All three were expected to make a full recovery. The schooner was built by Dawson Moreland and Associates and was launched on the Lunenburg Waterfront in early August.
