The mayor of Lunenburg says the town has to regroup when it comes to the future of Lunenburg Academy. A plan to host a graduate school for music, starting this fall, has been scaled back after funding sources fell through. The program was looking for roughly $4.6-million to cover start-up fees and three-year initiation period for the Lunenburg Academy of Music Performance, or LAMP. Rachel Bailey is optimistic they can find a solution.
Bailey says the town is providing roughly $250,000 in this year's budget for operating costs and capital repairs. She says council will meet to discuss options in the near future.
