Local Women's Group Set For Summer Camps

The Second Story Women's Centre is preparing to to host their annual summer camp for girls aged nine to 12. It's the tenth year the non-profit organization will offer the camps throughout Lunenburg and Queens Counties. The four day retreat is designed to bring issues like bullying, self-esteem and body imagine to the forefront for girls getting set to enter junior high school. Facilitator Julie Venoit says its been extremely successful in the past.



Camps will be held in Bridgewater, New Germany, Liverpool, Lunenburg and Chester throughout July and August. Venoit says there are only 12 spots available for each camp and encourages those interested to pre-register.


The camps will be held:

 July 8-11 in Bridgewater
(St. Paul's  Lutheran Church Hall)

July 15-18 in New Germany
(Elementary School Gym)

July 22-25 in Lunenburg
(Central United Church Hall)

July 29-August 1 in Chester
(Forest Heights Community School)
   
August 6-9 in Liverpool (Queen's Family Resource Centre)
   
If there is enough interest we will hold a second camp in Bridgewater August 12-15,
location to be determined.
