Jogger Recovering From Bridgewater Dog Bite Incident

A female jogger is going to be OK despite an incident last evening (Monday) on the Centennial Trail in Bridgewater. She suffered a serious dog bite while running along the trail off LaHave Street. Constable Will Creamer of Bridgewater Police says the jogger needed emergency treatment at the hospital.

Rather puzzling is the fact the owner of the dog which was not on a leash provided fake contact information and now police want to talk to the person. The dog is described as about the size of a border collie, white with some black markings. Anyone who may have information about the dog, its owner or Monday night's incident is asked to contact Bridgewater Police right away. They should contact Sgt. Richard of the Bridgewater Police Service at 543-2464 or by e-mail at policeinfo@bridgewaterpolice.ca
