Bridgewater: RCMP Officer Released From Custody

An RCMP officer charged in a case of domestic violence has been released from custody. The release was granted during a court appearance today in Bridgewater. The officer, in his 30s, was taken into custody late Tuesday night. His release was granted with a number of conditions; including he reside in Ontario except for court appearances in Nova Scotia. Other conditions include no contact with the female involved in the alleged incident and a ban on firearms and prohibited weapons. The case had been put over until October 10th when the accused is scheduled to enter a plea to the charges.
