South Shore residents hit the streets on Wednesday night in Bridgewater in a protest over the Conservative government's omnibus budget bill. The demonstration took place just before MP's began a marathon voting session in Ottawa. More than 40 people took part in the protest in front of MP Gerald Keddy's office on Aberdeen Street. The government's budget bill changes over 70 laws. The Opposition decries the huge bill and over the next 24 hours will force votes on about 800 amendments.
