On a year-over-year basis, however, which is how the inflation rate is measured, Statistics Canada says the growth rate in prices is slowing. Evidence of the decline in gasoline prices is evident today on the South Shore. The price of a litre of regular self service dropped two cents overnight at area pumps. Its selling today for $1.40.9. Thats a 2-cent drop from yesterday.
