RCMP are warning residents to protect themselves from fraud by keeping their personal information safe. March is fraud prevention month. Police are trying to crack down on fraudsters by asking people to be cautious before sharing personal or financial information through email, over the phone or mail. Sgt. Tom Murdock is part of the RCMP's financial crime team. He says people need to be careful.Murdock suggests people ask questions or hang up the phone if they're ever unsure when speaking with someone who is requesting information.
