The South Shore Seahawks minor football teams split their games in its home-opener weekend. The atom team made history, scoring the club's first ever touchdown and defeating the favoured Dartmouth Destroyers 8-0. After scoring the touchdown, the atom seahawks held strong on defense, stopping the destroyers on their goal-line with just three seconds left on the clock. Head Coach Deryck Bolivar says its a big moment for their club.
Logan Taylor scored the first touchdown for the Seahawks. Meanwhile, the Peewee club fell 6-0 to the Fall River Dragons.
