A local seafood processor has cracked Canada's top 100 employers list. High Liner Foods Inc. in Lunenburg was named to the list for 2012 after being named one of Nova Scotia's and Atlantic Canada's top employers in 2011. The Vice-President of Human Resources at High Liner Foods, Joanne Brown, says they're very excited to make the list.
"We view High Liner as a very positive company to work at and it is important for us when entering into a competition like this, so we could show other people the good things we do within our company that make it attractive as a place to work."High Liner Foods received top marks for training and skills development and community involvement. This is the first time the company has been recognized as one of Canada's top employers.
