Nova Scotia's lakes and rivers will be better protected through amendments to legislation introduced Thursday (Nov,4) by Fisheries and Aquaculture Minister Sterling Belliveau . The proposed amendments to the Fisheries and Coastal Resources Act will better protect against the non-authorized introduction of fish into provincial waters and clarify definitions in the act. Belliveau says Nova Scotians expect marine and freshwater resources to be well-managed for present and future .
