A member of the Alberta Council on Aging has recognized Bridgewater as senior friendly. Donna Durand presented the town with a plaque earlier this week honouring them for their work in improving access and safety for seniors. The Alberta Council on Aging owns the Senior Friendly program, which has been used in the town since 2009. Durand says it's a milestone achievement.
She says the program helps recognize contributions from seniors, addresses myths around aging and teaches people about healthy aging and quality of life.
