Some tense moments at a Bridgewater museum. A military bomb squad team based out of 14 Wing Greenwood
was called in to remove some live ammunition on display at the Desbrisay
Museum. Members of the Bridgewater Police Service evacuated the
building until the bomb squad arrived to take a look at the shell which was determined
to be active. The incident unfolded Saturday afternoon, but it's not known
how the live ammo ended up inside the museum. However, there were military and World War II displays at
the museum this weekend. The ammunition was removed safely and will be properly
destroyed by military personnel. Nobody was hurt.
