Thieves have targeted a vocational centre in the Annapolis Valley that helps disabled adults. "New Boundaries" in Windsor was robbed overnight Wednesday and police are still investigating. A safe and a pickup truck were among the items stolen. Officials say the safe held a small amount of cash and pay-cheques for clients with intellectual disabilities. The agency has about 40 adults earning a training allowance.
Thieves apparently entered the one-storey building through an addition under construction. The burned shell of the centre's truck was discovered 25 kilometres away.
