Tim Harris told another media outlet that candidate participation was "a lot of effort for only three votes", after three students raised there hands that were eligible to vote. Jamie Baillie says he's disappointed in the comments and feels they will discourage young people from the political process. He says the Harris' comments are troubling.
A call to Harris wasn't returned. Baillie also wants Liberal Leader Stephen McNeil to address the comments and provide an apology as well.
